Dean is 6 months today!

And guess what...Alex pointed out that Dean has now spent as much of his life in Philadelphia as he did in Utah. What?! Time flies.

A lot of growing this month!

We went to the doctors for a check up the first week of October, so Dean was 5 months... here are the stats.

Height: 27 in (88%)
Weight: 19 lbs (89%)
Head: off the charts
Yeah. Crazy.
Yeah, my arms are getting really strong.

Another thing that grew this month.

Beginning of October:

End of October:
That is some good work Dean.

Next 'growth'...Rice Cereal
First unsure...but now he is CHAMP. He leans forward toward the spoon and opens up. Sometimes he even grabs my hand and brings it to his mouth.

(Still learning here)

First time eating till it was gone
&
His favorite place to eat
(Yes, his chair doesn't quite fit. It does stay up well, but you'd better believe I spend the whole feeding standing up against that chair)

First cold weather outfits

First Halloween and first pumpkin
Also, notice his index finger. He almost always has it straight like that when he's grabbing at things. So funny.

First time dressing up in costumes.

Love this 6 month boy!

Like I seem to say in every other post, these last 6 months have gone so fast. Then again, it does still seem like he's always been apart of our lives.

But then again, for some reason, today I had a "Wait. I'm a mom?!" moment.

We went to the doctors to get Dean his flu shot. It was the first Dr. appointment Alex hasn't been to. I felt grown up, in charge, I was on top of the up coming appointments, etc. Then walking to the car I looked at the kid, and realized I had done all of that mom stuff normally, naturally, like no big deal. Wait a sec, I'm doing mom stuff....

Hey people, apparently I am a mom.
Hi, my name is Allyson. I am a mom.
Hi, my name is Allyson. Yes, that is spit-up on my shirt.
Hi, my name is Allyson. And yes. That cute chunk sitting on my hip is my kid. Lucky, I know.

I know, aren't those realization moments weird. I still have them sometimes. I look at Brooklyn and think "I'm really a mom. When did that happen? And when did you get so big?" It seriously is the best job ever though! Time goes by way too fast!

ps: We love 'baby Dean' He's so stinkin' cute!
